Our in-conversation was with James Ferrol, head of mobility & energy at RSPB.

Saul Jeavons of Transafe and the Association of Road Risk Management, explained what the Road Safety Strategy will mean to fleets with the discussion continuing in a series of roundtable debates with delegates. Our in-conversation subject was Martin Edgecox of National Highways, who discussed electrification of his high mileage, heavy duty fleet, managing supplier relationships and integrating technology.

25 November 2025 - British Motor Museum, Gaydon

Aaron Jarvis of Geotab considered how AI-enhanced data can help fleet decision-makers tackle key priorities around carbon reduction, predictive maintenance, driver coaching and the science of probability. Michael Bourne of TyreSafe revealed how drivers can be empowered with tyre safety knowledge to reduce incidents relating to illegal and poorly maintained tyres and James Rooney, head of road fleet at Network Rail, joined us for an ‘in-conversation’.

23 September 2025 - Thorpe Park Hotel, Leeds

Professor Greg Marsden from the University of Leeds presented insights from INFUZE, a multi-million-pound project exploring how future transport systems can better serve people and businesses. Matt Freeman of CAP HPI shared expert analysis on future EV residual values, including electric light commercial vehicles (eLCVs). Our ‘In Conversation’ segment featured Maria Bengtsson, electric vehicle lead at EY.

13 May 2025 - De Vere Wokefield Estate, Reading

Alex Georgianna of global consultancy Steer discussed the ZEV Mandate, Nick Lyes of IAM RoadSmart highlighted key findings from its 2024 Road Safety Report and last but not least our in conversation segment featured David Higginbottom, who shared insights into how post-crash incident training can improve the safety of fleet drivers and discussed the broader goals of Vision Zero.

Beverley Bell, a former senior traffic commissioner, took 'gritty' questions from members, posed by Stephen Briers; Peter Dobson, group head of tax at Amey, presented updates on BIK changes, and Ian Pulford, director of Ohmio UK, revealed details of autonomous vehicles that could soon be a common sight on our roads.
